Dans mes tableaux et des œuvres en céramique, je créé des milliers de créatures imaginaires ou mythologiques avec des intenses expressions et postures dynamiques.
Ces créatures, formes qui sont à la fois convivial et dangereuse, sont prête à éclater, à hurler ou à sortir de l’imagination dans notre réalité comme un ami ou un ennemi.  Cette intensité de l’émotion etl’incertitude du caractère exact est un aspect, je cherche à travers mes créations en argile et des peintures. Je laisse ces créations à émerger de l’inconscient sans censure ni manipulation consciente. Ces créatures conservent leur mystère par leur mépris de l’explication logique et la variance de forme déterminée et abstraits accentuée par les taches de couleur et de traits déformés.

Je maintiendrai cette obsession de produire des milliers de ces créatures, que je ne serai jamais d’échappement car l’exploration de toutes les  combinaisons mythologique est infinie.

In my ceramic work and paintings I am creating thousands of mythological imaginary creatures with intense expressions and dynamic body postures.  These creatures, forms are at the same time friendly, dangerous ready to burst, yell forth from the imagination into our reality as a friend or foe.

This intensity of emotion and uncertainty of exact character is an aspect I am exploring through my clay creations and paintings. I let these creations emerge from the unconscious without censorship or consciousmanipulation. These creatures will retain their mystery through their defiance of logical explanation and variance of definite and abstracted form accentuated through colored stains and distorted features.

I will maintain this obsession with producing thousands of these creatures, as I will never exhaust or finish exploring all the infinite ever-expanding mythological combinations.

    I love your work Shawn. I am lucky enough to have a number of your paintings and sculptures in my house. All these wonderful creatures and paintings never fail to get noticed by a visitor. They always create a dialogue of interesting discussion about what they mean or what they are. i love that there is no answer. Keep on creating bro!
